Scripted Designs began back in 2000 with a sketch pad and colored pencils. Shay received a BFA in Graphic Design in 2006 but decided to add her love of design and use it in a form of fashion. It was not until the year of 2006 that the first collection was created.
The name Scripted Designs originates from her love and passion of poetry: a writer herself since the age of 12, she uses her poetry and describes her emotions through fabric. Each piece being custom made and created by hand. By the age of 26 she has already done 5 of her own shows and has been featured in 23 more from Philadelphia PA to Columbia SC.
Throughout the years the line has evolved and developed and has become what is known today as Scripted Clothing line. Shay has relocated from Philadelphia, PA to Atlanta, GA.
